With unbeatable views, this beautiful hatted restaurant overlooks the water. Celebrating the local produce from the Northern Rivers, Beach is undoubtedly a must-try!

Tosha Light Years Falls

Modern Asian share style plates with a wonderful, uniquely curated cocktail selection. The stylish interiors will make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation.

Moonlight

Tucked away from the chaos of Byron’s busy streets, Moonlight is a wonderful Hibachi Grill and Wine Bar with flavours that will have you thinking you’re dreaming.

Bar Heather

An incredible hatted restaurant with a beautiful wine selection. on Thursday nights, Bar Heather hosts an amazing Jazz trio that perfectly encapsulates the ambience.

The Hut

The Pass
Perfect for beginner surfers and a beautiful spot to spend the day.

Wategoes
Another incredible bay for swimming and surfing, you’ll often spot pods of dolphins off the coast.

Torakina Beach
Located in Brunswick Heads, this protected Bay is a haven tucked away from the chaos.

Belongil
Stretching further north from Byron’s Main Beach, Belongil is a lovely spot, with Lifeguards patrolling some sections during peak season.

Whites Beach
A hidden haven from the crowds. Close to Broken Heads, this oasis is often the most deserted beach in the area and is the perfect spot to set up for the day.

As we are situated on the cape, we can often experience tropical storms through the summer. Although they tend to breeze through quickly, we’ve composed a list of how best to spend your time on the occasional rainy day.

Margaret Olley Regional Gallery and Art Museum
Located in Murwillumbah, this gallery is a beautiful drive through the countryside. (45min drive)

Palace Theatres
Located above Woolworths, the local cinema has regular viewings of all the most recent films, with house-made Connoisseur ice-cream choc-tops, popcorn and delicious wine.

Nimbus & Co
Private Sauna is located in the Byron Arts and Industrial Estate and for those daring… you could even book an ice bath.

Lunch at Eltham Pub
A beautiful drive out into the Hinterland through Clunes offers incredible paddock to plate food in an old-style Australian pub. (35min drive)

In-House Massages or Endota Spa
Our incredible in-house masseuse can set up in your room for a cosy hour of relaxation as you listen to the rainfall outside your window. You can also book into Endota Spa for a range of packages, just a short walk from the steps of 28 Degrees.

Minon
Also located in Nightcap National Park, this is the perfect adventure for those up for a hike. With a 3-hour and 45-minute walk along a moderately challenging route, you can cool off with a swim at the base of the impressive waterfall. On a clear day, you can look out to the coast and experience spectacular views from the top.

Tosha Falls
Located 3 km from Alstonville, these beautiful falls and surrounding shady forest area are a mere 5-minute walk from the car park and offer a quiet oasis to relax and enjoy.

Killen
A short 25-minute drive from Byron, Killen Falls (pictured) is a beautiful spot to spend the day reading on the rocks or floating in the natural pool. Located a short 5-minute walk from the car park, with public toilets available, bring some snacks and spend the day.

Protester Falls
Located in Nightcap National Park, Protester Falls takes you through a beautiful short (1.4 km return) walk through the rainforest to stand at the bottom of the incredible waterfall. Although you can‘t swim, it‘s truly a must-see!
