Restaurant options in Byron are plentiful and varied with an emphasis on healthy cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. Here are a few that are frequented by locals that we recommend.

Bayleaf Cafe

Billed as “a bustling hangout with outdoor seating and a hip vibe”, we like it because it’s 20 meters away and serves fantastically good coffee and consistently excellent food.

Top Shop

Located at the top of Massinger street and Caryle - grab the Best Chai in town! Don't miss the pastries, muffins, fresh juices and a great array of burgers. Take something to sit on and enjoy the rays on the grass.

100 Mile Table

The 100 Mile Table is located in the eclectic Byron Bay Arts & Industry Estate, a 10 minute drive and definitely worth the trip.

Leaf & Grain

Bayleaf Cafe's little brother - Leaf & Grain has the yummiest take away options in town.  Local coffee, fresh daily salads and burgers to enjoy out the front or at the beach.

Folk is a cool and beautifully eccentric café serving mainly vegetarian fare. The boho chic style which underpins the food and drinks through to the decor is charming.
Good food, great coffee, stellar taste in music and no attitude. Folk is a 10 minute drive from town.

Fresh Cafe

Great food and friendly service, but what sets this place apart is its location at the very top of Jonson Street. Enjoy watching the world go as pretty much everyone will walk, drive, skate or ride past. Then it’s a minute walk to the pub or 2 minute stroll to the beach.

Three Blue Ducks

Located on a working farm so you can expect fantastic fresh and in season produce. Serving a variety of cuisine styles from breakfast to dinner this place has exceptional food and fantastic service. A worthwhile 15 minute drive from us.

The Harvest Cafe

The Harvest Cafe is located in Newrybar - a quaint village 20kms from Byron. Local, organic and Artisan food is used throughout the delicious menu.  Visit the Deli & Shop just next door for the best Sourdough bread in the Shire.

Dinner & Drinks

A Mediterranean / Aegean theme runs throughout Byron’s newest restaurant. A great place for leisurely grazing and drinking. Watch the world go slowly by while sipping on a cocktail.

If you’re after a more louche and bacchanalian experience we recommend St Elmo. Located a convenient 5 minute walk. St Elmo serves up an endless array of excellent
cocktails and delicious tapas in a relaxed and cool environment.

Located 20 minutes away in Brunswick Heads, Fleet quickly became this area’s most highly awarded restaurant. It is a wine bar masquerading as a restaurant (or maybe vice versa?) and tiny but you will have an absolutely fantastic experience; the food and wine are both excellent.

The Italian is a 10 minute walk towards the beach,  situated next to the Beach Hotel.
The Italian is one of Byron’s more sophisticated dining experiences and reliably serves great food and mind altering cocktails with excellent service.
